Ashley Davis is a visual artist with a focus on social justice and helping marginalized communities. Through their work as a painter and 2D artist Ashley found their artistic voice. Once introduced to film it was used as an extension of that practice. Ashley's work in Documentary filmmaking incapsulates the complexities of Black youth, love, and drive. Their narrative work focuses on the horror/comedy to add depth to under-appreciated genres.
Ashley is a second year film student attending Virginia Commonwealth University. They have showcased their work in The Anderson, won the 2025-2026 VMFA Fellowship, and have interned for companies like Oakwood Arts, Newviews Agency, and the Richmond International Film Festival.
They are based in Richmond Virginia and open for commissions and internships.
